Moving store catalogs to Salla, Zid and Shopify

The challenge

Store owners wanted to move their products to a new store without entering them by hand. Each job followed the same pattern: extract the products from a supplier's site or an existing store, then convert them into the import file the target platform accepts.

What I built

• Delivery by platform: 14 jobs into Salla's import template, two into Zid, one into Shopify, and the rest raw data deliveries or admin automation.
• Template converters: Shopify products into Salla's 40-column template with options and variants, and a Salla to Zid converter.
• Extraction tools: scrapers that resume where they stopped, pulling from Salla stores and from supplier and large retail sites.
• Image handling: removing duplicate images by comparing their content, and finding products by barcode.
• Prices and files: currency conversion and profit margin applied during conversion, plus tools to split large files and update quantities.

Tech

Python with requests and BeautifulSoup for extraction, Selenium for sites that need a browser, and pandas and openpyxl to clean the data and write the Excel files.

Outcome

I completed 30 jobs between March 2025 and June 2026. Client and store names are withheld, and the images are illustrations with products I made up.
