Who I am
This site belongs to Mohamed Eladly (EladlyDev), a freelance software engineer in Giza, Egypt. I decide what happens to the data described here. To ask anything about it, email [email protected].
What the “Start a project” form collects
- About you: your name, company, job title, country and city.
- Your request: what you need, the tools you use today, team size, your description of the problem, any links you add, your timing and budget if you give them.
- How to reach you: your email, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred channel, and the time you ticked the consent box.
- Technical details: the page language, the website that sent you (domain only), campaign tags in the link if there were any, and a scrambled code made from your IP address. The code is a salted hash that changes every month. I use it only to stop the form being flooded, and it can't be turned back into your address.
Nothing is sent until you press “Send request”. Until then your answers stay on your own device (see below).
Why I use it
To read your request, reply to you on the channel you chose, and, if we go ahead, prepare a written spec and an offer. I don't sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to any mailing list.
How long I keep it
Requests that don't turn into a project are deleted automatically 12 months after their last update. If we work together, I keep the request with the project records for as long as the work and its paperwork need it. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days.
Who else handles it
- Contabo (Germany): the server the site and its database run on.
- Cloudflare: delivers the site, protects the form from bots (Turnstile), counts visits without cookies (Web Analytics), and forwards email sent to my address.
- Google (Gmail): where email to my address is delivered.
Cookies and your device
The site sets no cookies. It stores a few things in your own browser, and never sends them to me:
- your light or dark theme choice;
- a draft of the form while you fill it in;
- for the current tab only, your request summary on the thank-you page.
Visit counts are anonymous and contain no personal data.
Reviews
Reviews from clients I invite are published only with their explicit consent, in the name format they choose. Reviews from Mostaql and Khamsat are quoted word for word from public profiles, with a link to the original. Anyone can ask me to remove their review by email.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email [email protected] from the address you used in the form.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
