About me

I'm Mohamed Eladly; people who know me call me Shawky. I'm a software engineer working from Giza, Egypt, and most of my clients are companies in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.

I taught myself to code at a young age. Later I completed the ALX Software Engineering program, a long, project-based program that about 700 of the 19,000 who started finished. I've freelanced since 2024, and I hold the Professional Freelancer card from ITIDA, Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency.

I build the systems that replace WhatsApp groups and Excel files: a dashboard for management, an app for the field team, and links to the platforms the company already pays for. The project closest to my heart is an operations system for a mobile car-wash company, because it helps them in their work every day.

I show you a working prototype before the contract because a document alone isn't enough. Once you see your system on a screen, the right questions come up early, and both sides know what will be delivered before anyone pays.

What to expect from me

  • Everything agreed is written down: specs, decisions, approvals.
  • If your project is a good fit, you see your system before you sign, free of charge.
  • An offer priced item by item, and you can drop any item.
  • The code and accounts are in your company's name from day one.
  • Releases you test yourselves before paying for them.
  • I'll tell you honestly when a ready-made tool is enough.

What I don't do

  • I don't oversell.
  • I don't build what you don't need.
  • I don't hide behind a team you'll never meet.

The tools I actually use

  • Web and dashboardsNext.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
  • MobileReact Native (Expo), Flutter
  • Servers and dataNode.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, BullMQ, Python
  • Hosting and testingDocker, Playwright
  • Automation and integrationsn8n, REST APIs, webhooks

Tell me about one process

If a process in your company still runs on spreadsheets and group chats, tell me about it. I'll tell you honestly whether a custom system is worth it.
